Sedna slowly swam back to the home she shared with Tideus durring the past sixteen years hoping aganst hope that Tideus had gotten to shore and headed home.
Sedna saw the large wooden house with the large river fed pond in the backyard. Sedna swam up the river and into the pond remembering when Tideus had built it for her. Tideus had been letting Sedna live in a large tube in the house, but after about a year Sedna had been getting to big for the tube and Tideus had started to dig up the back yard. Sedna had constantly asked what he was doing but he had only smiled and wiggled his finger at her. On Sedna's first birthday he had cut a hole in the floor that lead to the hole he had made and let the river flow into it forming a pond that would let her come and go in the house as she wished.
The pond and hole where much larger now since Sedna had grown but the fact that Tideus had made it for her still brought back memories of him. Sedna slid under the house and came up through the hole and looked at the interior of the house. Half the house was empty save for a mat so the Sedna could move around in and sleep in the house easily as Tideus had entended as he had constantly expanded the house.
Sedna curled up on the mat and remembered just how hard Tideus had worked to make her as happy and coferable as possible. More than likely if Tideus wasn't fishing or sleeping, he was doing something to make her as happy as possible. Sedna had brought back some of the things she had found to repay him and he had always accepted them with a wide smile.
Sdena looked around at the things she had brought up for Tideus as thanks. She saw a large suit of armor, a gem encrusted chest full of gold, a large iorn anchor, and the masthead to a large boat. Sedna lay down to cry quietly in her memories.
Sean was walking along the beach looking for anything of value that might have been washed up by the tidal wave they had had earlier that day. Sean spotted a large house that appeared to have had its windows broken by the wave but otherwise appeared intact.
Sean peaked throught the windows and saw that the house seemed empty of life but full of valueable treasure. Sean quickly ran into the house and saw a massive sea serpent lying on the floor of the house asleep. Sean thought that it must have eaten however lived here and was now resting from it. Sean saw, to his horror, the monster's eyes open and look at him with anger.
Sean screamed and ran back to the village to warn them that a serpent had attacked a home and might attack again.
Sedna saw a human entering her home and glared at him knowing he had come to loot her home. The man screamed in terror and ran back towards the port and Sedna sighed. Now that someone knew she lived here she would have to leave before monster hunters arrived to kill her. However, she would make sure there was nothing for the lotters to take when they came.
Sedna moved about the house fitting as much as she could into her mouth, careful not to break anything. Finally she fit everything in the house in her mouth and managed to keep it air tight as she crawled back out her hole and swam into the sea to find a sea cave to live in.
When the monster hunter arrived the next day they entered an empty house forelorn of even the slightest bit of furnishings. They saw that a serpent had lived here for an extended period of time but had left recently.
When they reported the news to the town they learned that Tideus had lived in that house for years and never reported anysuch thing. The only thing the town could conclued was that Tideus had been raising a serpent and it had finally eaten him. The town circulated rumors that Tideus was evil and cruel and had planned on using the serpent to destroy the town. Oblivious to all of this Sedna had moved into an undersea cave and decided to...
