Eighteen years have pasted and what is the basilisk like?

Choice 1: He is sad and lonely. He only comes out to eat. Other than that, he stays in his cave and cries. Every human he runs into sees him as a monster and they either try to kill him or run away. The basilisk never wants to harm humans, because he knows he is part human. The basilisk only kills in self defense when he has no choice. If he has a choice, he usually runs away. The one thing he want in the world is for someone to be his friend.

Choice 2: The basilisk hates what had happened to him. His father said that he was dangerous and every human he comes into contact with thinks he's a monster. The basilisk doesn't want to cry anymore. He decides to become a monster and show these humans what a real monster is.
