But even as Bowhan decided to give it a human's death the demon changed again, it's perfect skin wrinkling to that of a newborn, and as Bowhan raised his hand over the baby a splash of blood fell from the wound and landed on the baby, causing it to cry and Bowhan instead swadled the baby in cloth and carried it out of the room. The baby was brought to the clergyman of the village and Bowhan asked the priest to do what he could not, and as the priest held the demonic baby above the pool of the holy waters the idea of the demon firmly fixed in the clergyman's mind the baby once again changed and the fear of those waters deeply buried in its instinct it leaped from the priests hands and fled from the room like an animal cub fleeing a predator. It fled out into the woods driven only by the animal instinct more akin to that of a tiger than that of an infantile ape as most children are.
