As Bowhan and Artemis approached the city they noticed how some of the scenery surrounding the city was charred burrened and very much dead all together. Both of them galnced towards each other seeing the signs of a possible dragon Bowhan started to worry about his daughters safety if it were to turn out to be a dragon. Where as Artemis smiled at her father excited to possibly face such a strong creature.
"Artemis" Bowhan started
"Dad everything will be fine besides we don't even know what it is to begin with." Artemis said with a smile continuing on
"True but..." Bowhan tried again
"Dad you already told me you were going to let me help on this one remember?" Artemis said stopping crossing her arms.
"Yes I do I just want to make sure your safe no matter what happens." Bowhan said continuing forth
"And I will dad, but come on sometimes you act like an old maid what ever happened to my dad who wasn't afraid of anything and always ready to leap at a challenge?" Artemis asked
"I am still the same man only I have to ensure you are safe I would never forgive my self if something were to happen you." Bowhan said
"And nothing will as long as I am with you." Artemis said walking beside her father
As they got closer to the walls they noticed that there were several guards outside in full battle garments. The cities flag flying over head depicting a shield over two sword and a bird on the shield with flames coming from it holding arrows in one claw and branches in the other with a red background for the shield and swords.
"Welcome to Aroubay travelers." said one of the guards stepping forth to greet them
"Thank you very much could you please point us in the direction of the nearest tavern?" asked Bowhan stopping in front of the guard
"The closest tavern would be the 'Green Emerald Inn' about several blocks in to the right cant miss it for the world." the guard said with a laugh
"Thanks well be heading there now." Bowhan said entering the city.
"Your welcome... say wait a minute you look familiar have you been around here previously?" asked the guard
"Not recently no but several years ago I think so I tend to forget from traveling a lot." Bowhan said
"Hmm you do seem familiar to me but I cant place it from where ah I will figure it out later have a good day sir." the guard said returning to his post
Once past the guards and out of ear shot Artemis looked towards her father about to ask a question.
"Before you ask yes I would have told them I was here 16 years ago and yes I would have told them my name though I bet they would have heard it used plenty of time by impostures." Bowhan said shaking his head
The looked over the town the rest of the way towards the tavern apparently some of the shops were closed and might not have been used for ages.However once they got close to the 'Green Emerald Inn' they noticed that there was a lot more activity going on and right outside was an as it's name sake said a green emerald but this one was huge! About 5 feet in height and same at its widest point. With the words 'Green Emerald Inn' in large letters on the sign above it. The inn itself was your average two floor tavern with the ground floor for entertaing guest with food and drink and the top floor to accommodate guest who wanted to stay the night.
"Well I guess this is the place?" Artemis asked with a smile
"Could be lets go inside." Bowhan said shaking his head following his daughter inside
