The Dark Miasma

"HELLLP!" a voice cried out. Rushing to the source, they saw a crowd of frightened Pokemon standing near what looked like a Growlithe... only the Growlithe was being consumed by a sinister dark miasma. No one seemed to want to come near the Growlithe. The Growlithe was struggling less... and suddenly lunged at them, bellowing "THE MASTER SHALL HAVE HIS VENGEANCE!!!" He ran off, then, rushing towards the edge of town. Several frantic-looking Pokemon followed after him, as several others appeared and began trying to calm the crowd.

What do the heroes do?
