Preparing for your Victorian Day

Once you've put your suit on you then think about the more economic side. In this world money is extremely important so you'll need to be sure that you have money to ensure comfort with the security to prevent pickpockets. Looking round the control room you see something like an ATM set into one of the walls.

Looking at it the screen first says "Please choose your time period" and there are two buttons, one saying 'BCE' (That's BC in Christian terms) and the other saying 'CE' (AD to Christians). You press the 'CE' button.

The screen changes and now says "Choose Millenium" and you press the 2nd Millenium button. Then 19th Century, and then 1860s before the screen now says "Choose Currency" and you pick British Sterling since you can only be in Britain. You are now looking at the transaction screen, whereby you can choose how many of each type of note or coin you will carry.

After some thinking you decide to carry one sovereign (pound coin), two half-sovereigns (ten shilling coins), four crowns (five shilling coins), eight half-crowns (two shilling and sixpence coins), sixteen florins (two shilling coins), thirty-two shillings, sixty-four sixpennies, one hundred and twenty-eight threepennies, two hundred and fifty-six pennies, five hundred and twelve ha'pennies (half penny coins) and one thousand and twenty-four farthings.

This means that you now have one pound, one shilling and fourpence in farthings, ha'pennies and pennies; one pound and twelve shillings in threepennies, sixpennies, shillings and florins. Also there's one pound in half-crowns, crowns, half-sovereigns and the sovereign. Giving you a cash total of thirteen pounds and twelve shillings. In this time to physically possess this much cash is a clear sign of wealth especially with your costume. This ATM machine seems to work like a replicator, producing whatever money you require. Also it is all readily packed into a four-dimensional wallet, probably to ensure that it would be difficult to steal the contents.

Exiting the TARDIS you turn to identify that it's disguised as...
