Here you could distort space, pinching reality with intense, pulsed energy and (hopefully) create a real wormhole, letting you step from this room to... elsewhere. Right now you weren't sure if the aperture controller would work. With that you could manipulate the other end of the portal to change it's location.
Smiling you walked up to the BRB and took a tissue out and carefully polished it. It was so hard to get a really impressive Big Red Button that looked the part.
