"Forget it," Brett said to himself as he left the athletic building. "Coach won't care if I skip one class."
Brett had never really been the best student, but he had always tried to be pretty good about not skipping too many classes. Usually, he'd only allow himself to ditch three classes per semester, but this would be his third time and it was only mid October. His newfound love of partying had left him in no shape to even leave his bed before nearly noon more than once.
Still, I never told Coach that I was going to turn over my new leaf right this moment, he thought as he headed back towards his nice warm bed. His roommate was a much more studious type and was definitely going to be gone until nearly noon. Brett hoped that there would be something good waiting for him when he got back.
