Nessie the great

Upon traversing deeper within the confines of the zoo, your eyes soon glue upon a rather odd plaque near a large building. Embellished on the rectangular board were the words ‘Mythical Animals’. “Mythical animals?” you murmur to yourself. With such an odd label like that, there was no expecting just what to find in this section. Upon musing, a chuckle escapes as you imagine a whole area dedicated solely to unicorns and the like. With curiosity soon getting the best of you, you make your way inside the enclosure.

While the night darkness did seem to mess with your vision, you could still manage to make out the formations of nearby walls as you continue your walk. After what seemed like minutes or so of nonstop walking, your luck in finding any creature nearby started diminishing. Maybe they didn’t open this area yet? You wonder. As your mind begins to trail off in search of an answer, you soon find yourself slipping off an unexpected ledge right before you.

Having no clue just what the formation of this building had, you continue to slide down before suddenly landing in a body of water. Immediately, you surface up and give a deep startled gasp from the sudden coldness of the liquids. You feverishly begin to gaze about in search of some sort of land or support you could clamber on in order to avoid the low temperatures. Luckily, not too far off seemed to be what looked like a light green colored rock more than large enough to use. With a great splash, you quickly make your way towards the odd formation before finally managing to clamber your way up it.

Upon touching the odd surface, it seemed to carry a strange texture to it. While it certainly wasn’t rock like you thought it was, it did carry a consistency almost like that of leather. Who knows? For all you knew it could’ve been some sort of décor or something alike. The main question at moment was just where you were at this very moment. As droplets of water begin to descend down your form, you quickly try your best to dry off. Just as you were wringing the bottom section of your shirt, the sounds of the nearby water moving momentarily catches your attention. Upon turning your head you were soon greeted with a shocking sight.

A mere yard away from you appeared to be a dinosaur head, a ginormous one to boot. The entire face carried an almost exact resemblance to that of those aquatic dinosaurs you read about in elementary school as you notice a rather long neck attached behind. Judging by the way the neck was curling from the top, it seemed that it’s head was craning right down before you. Terrified, and uncertain if you were in the presence of a vile beast, you slowly attempt to back away. However, upon taking five steps back, the ginormous creature suddenly begins to speak.

“My, what’s a wee lad like you doing in these parts?” Your eyes nearly explode out of their sockets as the feminine voice escapes the beasts mouth. Oddly enough it, or she, did seem to carry an accent in her words. It was almost like it was speaking in a Scottish dialect. “Hmmm?” she cocks her head slowly to the right, obvious bewildered by your reaction. “Something wrong there wee laddie?” she asks.

After a second or two, you soon manage to gain concentration, once again as you shake your head. “E-Ermmm… I’m fine.” You reply, still dumbfounded by the meeting. “Ah, that’s dandy. For a second I was worried about you. I mean lookit you, you’re all drookit.” While it was a bit of relief to see that this creature didn’t mean any harm, it was still confusing to try and tell just what she was.

“Ummm…not to sound rude, but…what exactly are you?” you ask as the creature shifts her head back to it’s normal position. “Really now?” she mutters with wide eyes, taken aback by your question. Slowly you nod your head as her right brow begins to rise. “Are ye serious now? An here I thought I was famous to ye humans.” A sigh escapes as she gives slowly moves her head closer towards you. “Ma name is Nessie”

A shocked gasp escapes by the reveal of the creatures name. “N-Nessie?” you stutter as the great legend nods her head. “That A’m.” she replies. “T-This is unbelievable! I mean…your one of the biggest legends out there!” You state as a small laugh escapes Nessie. “Aww, thank ye.” Being before such a well known myth was indeed exciting, though as your mind was rushing with questions you soon notice Nessie’s lips curl up into a smile. “Now then…”

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. She asks just how you ended up in her enclosure

*Pen*
2. *something else*

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
