...her brother Justin, who came up to her from behind and quickly spun her around.

"OK, Alex, where is it?"

"Where is what?" the young wizard-girl answered, slightly surprised. She waited a moment and then added, "Did you lose your little rubber ducky again, Justin?" And she flashed him one of her most teasing smiles.

Justin let go of her shoulders. "No!...and it's not a 'ducky'...it's a platypus! Anyway, it's my wand that's missing." I know you took it, Alex. You're trying to sabotage me before the WizardOlympics. Now give it back."
