When Laura was little, she was one of the smartest girls in her class as well as her grade. Her teachers were delighted by whatever work she handed in, and not once in her elementary, junior high, and high school years did she fail or come close to failing a class in school. Although her academic progress slowed down in high school, Laura was still in the top 20% of her grade every semester of every year. She graduated with the 50th highest average out of 300 graduates, even. She even had the nickname of "Laura Big-Head" in high school, which to her was both a compliment and a really goofy way of referring to her.
So it came to no surprise to Laura to find out that her next growing body part was her head. Funny enough, though, her arms were now their normal size, but her hair was still long, and her head (including her eyes, nose, mouth, and ears) was now thrice its original size. As Laura walked up to the mirror to examine herself, she felt like she was carrying a bowling bowl for a head. She had to use both her hands just to keep it balanced and not have her head fall on the ground. She then sneezed as she looked (and giggled) at herself in the mirror, her arms and hands now twice their original size. Her now giant hands were at one with the floor below her.
"Monkey woman", a confused Laura told herself while looking at the mirror still, thinking that her new proportions made her look a little like a monkey. Her arms were now almost as long as her room, and the growing woman tried to experiment with her new, longer arms to see if she could lift them. To her surprise she could, but not nearly as high as before: she had a hard time lifting them above a 30 degree angle. At least Laura could stand up again, and the woman proceeded down the stairs and to her living room, hiding her longer arms and hands in a blanket as she cuddled on the couch and watched T.V. She used her thick, long hair as a pillow of sorts as she sat down on her side on the couch and started flipping through the channels for something good to watch.
