"Dreaming," Katy said to herself. "I am dreaming. I'm still passed out from the pain."
As she sat up, she looked at her surroundings. After doing some quick math in her head, Katy estimated that she was now about 200ft tall.
She observed the people beneath her. The police had erected a barricade around her and one stood at each corner, looking at the crowd gathered around her. Almost all of them had cameras, naturally.
Already, she could see the tabloid headlines in her head. "Big Pop Star Literally Becomes Big Pop Star!"
Katy stood up. The cops guarding her turned to look at her. "Ma'am," said the fattest of them. "I'm gonna hafta ask you to stay seated."
She put her hands on her hips. "Why?"
"For your own safety, ma'am."
"In case you didn't notice, I think I can look after myself now, boy." She took a step forward, All the cops pointed their guns at her without hesitation. "So much for my safety, huh?"
"Ma'am..."
"Don't you 'ma'am me! Let me go!"
"...If you take one step closer, we will open fire."
A wicked smile appeared on Katy's face. She wasn't sure if this next move would be a well-played one or not, but anything was better than being a captive for the rest of her life. She stepped forward. All the cops opened fire. All four bullets bounced off her now thickened skin, which had apparently grown with the rest of her.
Bending over, she grabbed the fat cop in her fist and brought him to her face. The crowd was too stunned and too scared to move. She opened her hand in front of her face. Gently jerking it, she caused the fat cop to fall on his ass, making her laugh. With her free fingers, she slipped off his pants and then peeled off his shirt.
Katy laughed loudly. "I've hear cops called pigs, but I never saw one that took it so literally!"
"Please!" the fat cop bellowed. "Don't hurt me!"
"Let me guess," said Katy. "You were only one day away from retirement."
"No. Actually it's my first day on duty."
"Well, it's you last day too. Because I'm gonna..."
