A small bottle with some sort of liquid in it

My dog had run ahead of me and started sniffing at a glass bottle he had found on the floor.

"Here boy. What you got there?" I asked. I bent down to take a closer look and decided to pick it up. As I did I noticed that the glass was cracked and ended up getting some of the liquid on my fingers. "Eeuw!" I brought my fingers up to my face and took a cautious sniff. "Hey, that doesn't smell too bad actually." I then decided to have a taste and licked my finger. It made my tongue tingle oddly but I liked it. Deciding I wanted more, I pulled the lid from the bottle and poured the remaining contents down my neck.

The tingling that I had felt in my tongue now passed through every part of my body. It was like the kind of shiver you get when a cold wind suddenly blows; uncontrollable yet warming.

I rolled the bottle over in my hands and saw the remains of an old label. Reading out aloud to my dog, Patches, I found that the bottle had supposedly contained some sort of truth serum. "Oh great. I thought this stuff only existed in films. Never mind." I grabbed Patches's lead and started to walk back to the path. "I suppose I best try it just to make sure I'm not going to blurt something out I don't want to say, eh boy?" The most obvious thing I thought was to try and say something that was obviously a lie.

I looked into the distance and then made my statement; "That tree is blue with pink spots!" I was relieved to find that I could still lie. That was until I suddenly realised that the tree I had been looking at was indeed now blue with pink spots! It seems I had found a truth serum with a twist; any statement I made would now become the truth".

"I'm going to enjoy this," I said to Patches and I suddenly felt a little happier at the thought of what I could now do. I paused for a moment and then decided what to start with.
