It was over, you knew it. In a few seconds you will just be blood splatters against the concrete wall behind you. Knowing of your soon demise, you close your eyes and defensively held out your arms, as if it would somehow help against the bullets and would soon end your fate. Squeezing your eyelids tight, you heard the sound as the gun fired a burst of rounds at you, and then... nothing.
Taking a risk, you open your eyes and to your surprise you see several oversize bullets floating inches away from you. The soldier in the knightmare seemed just as surprised as you as he had not moved since, instead just starting at the miraculous sight. Taking a dare, you moved your hands towards the giant, floating bullets, trying to touch one. Before your hand reached the object though, all the bullets shot out, racing towards the huge knightmare in front of you. In an instant, the knightmare was taken down as a sudden hail of bullets blasted away at it. You stood there in shock as the purplish knightmare fell down to the ground in a large crash. What had just happen? Did you just take down that knightmare by yourself? Why did they want that girl? Questions raced through your mind as you tried to figure out what exactly had happened.
Suddenly your thoughts were distracted as sounds of gunfire echoed from above you. Shaking your head to clear your thoughts, you picked up the still unconscious girl and turned around. It wasn't safe to stay where you were, you needed to get out of there as quickly as possible. Looking ahead, you saw two possible paths you could take. You could either head up the stairs, to the top of the bridge you are under and find out what is making all the noise, or you could go straight ahead and head away from the noises of battle.
