It was awkward. The whole place just didn't match the outside. It was bright, with no birds flying around. There were only flowers all around, and pink trees. There was one dirt path to follow. Pink Raven was skipping around the field as I walked to the other end. Once I passed the end of the portal, everything went back to the way it was.
I continued walking until I came across another Raven wearing gray. I tried to say hi but she gave me a timid look and turned away. I walked towards her and introduced myself.
"Hi there. You must be Raven." I said. She nodded.
"Do you know the way out of here?" I asked. She nodded again.
"Could you show me the way?"
"...I can." She finally spoke. "....But you won't like me once we reach the end...."
"That's alright." I tried to convince her. "There's no where else to go, anyway."
I already knew what was on the other side. The real Raven also explained that. Anyway, gray Raven walked with me towards the Forbidden Door until we were stopped by a gray wall that spawned in front of us. More walls came out from the ground, surrounding us from all sides.
"It's a maze, right?" I said. "And I'm guessing you know how to get out?"
Gray Raven nodded a third time.
She showed me the way, which didn't take too long. I tried having a conversation with her, but whenever I did, her face would turn red before she turned away.
We reached the end of the maze, where I was greeted by two tall stone statues that moved out of their place to try and kill me with their swords. I threw myself to the side, where I had to dodge the other one coming at me. They were slow, but I knew I would die if I got hit. Luckily, a war cry came from behind me and I turned around. A figure in a green cloak jumped over me and destroyed one of the statues. I tried to catch a good view of what was going on, but it was too much of a blur. Then I saw the other statue crumbled.
The green figure ran towards me and stopped.
"Haha! Yeah! Woo-hoo!" She exclaimed. It was green Raven. She stuck her palm out and I gave her a high-five. I felt her soft, warm hands against mine. It made me think of how soft her feet must be.
"Uhh, you must be Raven." I repeated.
"Sure am!" she replied. I wanted to leave then, so I walked to the Forbidden Door. But I was stopped by a mean voice from behind me. I turned around. It was yet another Raven, but in red.
"Stop. You can't leave." she ordered.
"Why not?" I asked impatiently.
"There's a reason why it's called the 'Forbidden Door'", said a Raven in yellow from my right. She was wearing glasses.
"Exactly", said an orange Raven from my left. She burped.
"Oh man. So many Ravens...." I said. The pink Raven giggled.
It was then that the real Raven entered the scene from above. She had her arms crossed and still looked mad at me.
"This is your punishment.....for now", she said.
"Huh? What is?", I asked. She ignored me and turned away to speak to the other Ravens, who had gathered around behind her. I guess they were brainstorming on what my "punishment" should be. I heard pink Raven giggle at the plans, and she jumped around excitedly.
"Hahahaha! That sounds like fun!", I heard her say.
They broke up and the real Raven gave me an angry look before going through the Forbidden Door.
I frowned. I didn't want her to be so mad at me.
The Ravens gathered around me. Red Raven kicked me to the ground. I was on my back, looking up at the Ravens that were looking down at me.
"I think we should explain what Raven told us", gray Raven suggested to her fellow Ravens.
"I suppose so", yellow Raven said as she pushed her glasses up with her finger. "I don't see the harm in doing so."
"Ok. You explain it, then."
"Alright", yellow Raven said. "Master Raven told us what you did, and honestly, I think that's so disgraceful of you. Anyway, though not exactly punishment, she said she wanted to test your capabilities for her experiments. You're going to be our guinea pig until she comes back."
"Hehehe. Shall we get started?" red Raven asked sadistically.
"Wait." yellow Raven said. "There are three experiments she told us to do. One: test your balancing abilities. Two: test your running endurance. And Three: test your service abilities. Any objections?"
"I have a choice in this?" I asked.
"Nope!" pink Raven said.
