Kirby's stomach growls and the two go get something to eat. They go to Barret's place and they grab a bite to eat. Kirby inhales all of his food and wants more as Tifa and Barret look at Kirby as though he ate a human whole. They give some more and he wants some more. Barret complains and says, "He's like a stinkin' blackhole! Can't take this foo'!" as Mr. T bursts in and beats the crud out of him (the two look alike).
Tifa says, "Sorry Kirby, but if we give you any more, we'd be run out of a job!" Kirby looks down in disappoinment and he gets up and waves for Tifa. "You want to go out? Ok." said Tifa, as they leave the two muscle heads fight it out. Tifa and Kirby run into Aeris, the flower girl, saying that Cloud is fighting some monsters. They run after Cloud and they find them fighting huge monsters, like a giant house and some imp things. Cloud looked like he was badly hurt, so the two girls took care of Cloud as Kirby attack the monsters. He inhaled them all and Kirby obtained Lightning ablities. The others look at Kirby in shock. Kirby looks at them with a smile on his face, happy about his victory. He went towards them and jumped into Tifa's arms. She looked at him, not knowing what to say, and the group walked back to Barret's.
The group finds (a rather badly injured) Barret and they decide to leave Midgar, the place they were in, to find Shinra, an evil organization harming the world. Kirby agrees to come along in their journey, so they headed off towards the company.
Along the way, the meet some new people, such as Yuffie the ninja, Red XIII, Cait Sith, a robotic cat, Cid, a airplane rider, and Vincent. With their new member Kirby, the team was unstoppable, for the most part. That is, until one fateful day...
