Brian felt a little bit sorry for Brad but did not want to say anything to Kristi. Brian was afraid that she might shrink him too for suggesting to just make Brad good enough to barely make the football team....and IF Brad was truly sorry, maybe she can give Brad his strength back. Then he thought well, ONLY if he is truly sorry and want to change. But Brian still kept his peace. He did not want to ever be like the personality of Brad the brat.
Kristi heard his thinking . She smiled at his concern for the bully. But she knew that Brad was NOT ready to be strong again. She considered that maybe tomorrow that Brad MIGHT get 2% of his strength back if he behaved himself...but not yet.
Brian held Kristi's hand gently and asked her if it would be OK if he took Kristi to the next class. Kristi smiled and said 'Sure, besides your class is 2 doors down."
Kristi knew about her next teacher. Her teacher Mr. Moore,was a little bit arrogant BUT still tried to be fair and have some compassion. Kristi was able to read her teacher's mind, understanding more of why he was the way he was. When the teacher Mr Moore was a teenager, he had teacher who was arrogant toward him. So she did not feel as angry toward him as she felt earlier. She thought Mr Moore is not really a bully, just misunderstood
