Kagura decided if this was a suicide mission, she would much rather take her chances with Inuyasha. At least he would kill her swiftly.
She bided her time - deciding what to do. Suddenly it came to her; Kagome seemed to have developed a new tendency to wander off alone in a fit of rage. Kagura would have to wait but she was sure she could catch Kagome. .
Unfortunately for Kagura, the Inu-tenshi seemed to be getting along rather well. Sitting and talking around the fire. Occasionally Kagura could hear their laughter. She could not understand how they were still all friends. Kagome had screamed "sit" several times, but apparently, what ever happened was not enough to send her marching off in a fury or to disrupt the pleasant time they seemed to be having. If any demon she knew had acted that way towards another, they would be killed, no questions asked.
Kagura's Musings on the bizarre nature of human relationships helped her pass the time as she waited. She didn’t think she would ever understand them, she had left thinking they all hated each other, but now they were all sitting together amiably.
Finally, on the eve of the third day, Kagura found her opening. She heard the first "Sit" and strained her ears to hear more but the argument was to far away. Kagura was about to give up when she saw her prey coming towards her in a huff.
She jumped off the tree she was in, intent on collecting her prize when she saw Inuyasha. Barely a dot in the horizon it seemed he was determined to follow her. Could she scoop up the priestess and get away before the hanyou saw her?
