Chapter #6

A break for freedom?

"Surely this is my only chance, i have to take it" you think to yourself.

You rush to the hallway door after what seems like a lifetime. Along the way you dart passed knifes, old shoes, old socks and half eaten meals. "God Cloud is just like a typical Jock slob". Finally you reach the bedroom door, its slightly open and passable. Your still amazed by the sheer height of everything. Your able to only just make out the doorknob "Wow that's a long way up". After a brief moment you snap out of your daze and continue on your quest to freedom.

You stay as close to the door frame as you can as you sneak out. Once inside the hallway you can see your on the 2nd floor of the house, as your able to make out the stairs to your left on the opposite wall. Directly in front of you, you can see another doorway with an open door. There are tiles and so assume it must be a bathroom. There is a final door at the other end of the hallway to your left but the door is closed.

Cloud is nowhere in sight. You wonder if he has left as you walk to the stairs. The dark green and slightly dirty carpet makes it hard to cross the hallway. You can picture Cloud returning home with muddy boots and not bothering to clean or remove them as he makes his way to his room. Then you hear a door shut. Fear is your only friend, your half way across the hallway, directly in sight or in line for discover or a crushing if Cloud is still in the house. Cloud has....
