Chapter #5Well-Rounded Vanilla by: TBTabby   Vanilla's arms stiffened and swelled, forcing her hands away from her body and sticking straight at her sides. Her legs followed suit, forcing her body into a spread-eagle position. As she wiggled her hands helplessly, she realized she was starting to rise off the floor. Her feet rose into a tiptoe position, then left the floor as she drifted slowly upwards, her body slowly rotating forward until she was facing downward. Her body swelled larger and larger, limbs sinking into her ballooning form until she was little more than a giant ball with hands, feet, and a head sticking out. Satisfied, Cheese, twisted the valve on the tank until the helium flow stopped and pulled the hose from Vanilla's mouth.
For a moment, Vanilla was too stunned to speak. She looked down at the smiling Chao, "Cheese..." she gasped in surprise. "My VOICE!" All the helium in her body had changed her voice to a high-pitched squeak she barely recognized as herself. She cleared her throat and continued. "Cheese, sweetie...when I said I wanted to fly, this isn't what I had in mind."
"Chao?" Cheese's expression turned and he stared glumly at the floor.
"Oh...please don't feel too bad..." Vanilla squeaked. "It's just...I can't really propel myself anywhere like this." She wiggled her hands and feet, and sure enough, all it did was cause her to slowly spin about in place. "And even if I could, I'm too big to fit through the door, so I couldn't..."
As Vanilla was speaking, she head the front door open and her daughter's voice call out, "Mommy? Cheese? Where'd you go?"
Vanilla barely had time to worry about her daughter's reaction to her ballooned form before it was too late. As Cream wandered into the kitchen. she froze in her tracks and stared wide-eyed at the enormous, floating ball her mother had become.
"M...Mommy?" Gingerly, Cream reached out and carefully poked her mother's swollen body. She gasped and drew her hand back as she felt her skin bounce back."You're a balloon!"
"Now dear, don't worry..." Vanilla started to say...
"WOW!" Cream's expression turned to one of delight! "My mommy can blow up like a balloon! That's so cool!"
"Well," Vanilla said with a sigh, "At least some good came from this..."  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
