Chapter #6

the wishing stone

The story begins with the tornado escaping Eggma's fortress under heavy fire with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and the just rescued Amy. They get out of range of the guns but with the Tornado in critical condition which meant that they would have to land in to fix the plane before they could make it home. Tails puts the plane down in a clearing near a mountain and as he starts to fix it Sonic spots a cave and he and Knuckles decide to go investigate it. Amy begs Sonic to let her come but he just tells her she to little and he doesn't want to need to save her again.

So Sonic and Knuckles take off leaving Tails with the plane and a sobbing Amy. They go through the cave and quickly stumble upon some kind of temple with a pink gem at a alter in the front. They find some ancient text that Knuckles sees as his clans old language. He gets a ruff translation that says the gem is a wishing stone that lights up once every thousand years to grant one wish. They decide to take it back with them and return to find the plane is fixed with Tails trying to comfort Amy.

Sonic decides to apologize by giving her the gem and tell her its history and that if it lights up that she should tell them and not use it. She quickly accepts his gift and the team flies home. Amy takes the gem to her home and heads to bed after the eventful day. As she sleeps the gem begins to light up.
