"No, lets act responsibly" you told yourself, still feeling incredibly excited.
Turning your back on all the people in the street you then headed back into the house and closed the door behind you. Hearing noises upstairs, you walked to the foot of the stairs and looked up. "Morning honey" your mother, Olivia, said as she came downstairs all dressed for work. She fastened her gold plated watch to her wrist and then headed into the kitchen.
"JESSICA HURRY UP, YOU'LL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL" she then shouted, causing your 11-year old sister to come barreling down the stairs
"Morning!" she greeted you.
"Good morning Jessica" you replied formally, and with a smile.
Then, yet another of your family members came thundering down the stairs, your annoying older brother Robert. "What's up dweeb!" he said to you briefly in passing. You just shook your head and rolled your eyes. "Whatever assface!" you growled at him.
It wasn't very often you were up before any of your other siblings, but after having that dream...you couldn't have well just laid there. Wandering into the kitchen, you smiled again at Jessica, who was sat at the table. You watched your mom place a bowl of cereal in front of Jessica, she then clipped Robert upside the head when she saw him eating out of the fridge. "Where are your manners?" she asked him.
"Huh! They're on vacation!" Robert replied, with a mouthful of chicken.
You just shook your head and sighed, Robert was the typical older brother. You were sure that somewhere on the older brother application form it must have read 'Must act like a jerk at all times'.
"Alright, I'm going out mom, catch you later" Robert said, pecking your mother on the cheek.
"Okay, have a good day!" your mom mumbled back.
"Bye short stuff, bye crap-for-brains!" Robert then said, looking at Jessica and you respectively.
Jessica responded with a loud "Goodbye!!", but you just bit your lip and kept quiet. Your mom, briefly turned around and smiled. "Look at you not retaliating for once, I'm so proud of you" she winked.
"Thanks mom" you muttered, before...
