The only thing even remotely close to Krystal was a giant mountain covered with snow from ground to peak. But what was heartening about the sight was a small black cave-like opening not too far up the base with a path leading to it. It was the only thing that promised shelter from this terrible snow storm. Krystal shivered as her fur was getting powdered by the blinding ice and hail, she didn't have many options at this point.
Moving as quickly as she could, she gathered up all the intact supplies on the crashed Arwing. There wasn't a lot she brought with her, an emergency blanket, some flares, her staff, and a few small food rations. Even with this equipment Krystal probably wouldn't be able to last that long on this planet and unless she got to shelter soon, she would not be able to survive even a night. Her only hope was to make for the cave and hope Fox and the others came down to rescue her.
Wrapping herself with the blanket like a cloak, she trudged her way through the icy plains.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she found herself face to face with the mouth of the cave.
A wave of heat swept over Krystal's shivering form, it was almost as it the cave itself was breathing. "H-Hello!?" She called out.
There was no answer, just the howl of the wind blowing through the cracks in the opening of the ceiling. But Krystal still couldn't shake the eerie feeling that she wasn't alone in the cave. But her body wouldn't give her time to be afraid, her legs finally buckled under the strain of holding herself up. She needed to get a fire going, and fast. Unfortunately, the only thing flammable she had on her that was expendable was her backpack. Pouring all of it's contents on the floor of the cave, she set the sack in the middle of a small dip. She then took one of the flares and sparked her makeshift kindling to life.
The fire made the cave almost come alive. It lit up the dark corners of the caverns as well as warming up the frozen vixen. Little did she know, however, the bright flames also alerted what was also in the cave with her....
