Chapter #6Free afternoon. by: J117 Karen had just finished her homework she got earlier that day, fortunately, her teachers were nice and did not giver her much to do over the weekend.
She is an only child whose parents both work, and today is no exception, they both work separate jobs and they will be gone the entire weekend, giving the entire house to herself, yet again.
She puts her school supplies away and lays back on her bed and turns on the TV .
Some time passes.
She is still watching TV on her bed, there is a knock at the door.
"Who could that be this late?" she says. Karen goes downstairs and looks through the window by the door. No ones there. She carefully opens the door and looks around, nothing. Shes about to go back inside when her foot hits something. She looks down and sees a box, its not that big and its made of cardboard. She kneels down and picks it up, inspecting it closely, there is only one thing written on the box, KAREN, her name. She closes the door and goes up to her room, carrying the box.
She puts it down onto her bed and just stares at it. "Someone delivered a box this late at night with only my name written on it....." she thinks to herself. She takes the knife she brought with her and dangles it above the box...."should I open it.....?"
Stabbing the knife into the side of the box, she begins to open it, finally making her choice. After getting the tap off, she opens it, and there, sitting in front of her was a dark black book with weird symbols and markings on it. She picks it up and it starts glowing. (SEE THE FIRST PAGE!).
Dropping the book, with a stunned look on her face she says, "wha-whose there" looking around the room, with no response and not seeing anyone there, she refocuses back onto the book. Is this real? could this book really do what it said? or is this just a joke. Some more time passes.....she moves the box it came in and notices something else in the box, a letter, she pics it up and starts reading it.
To Karen, by now you have already touched the book and it has accepted you as its new master, I no longer have any need of the book and decided it needed a new master, and I picked you, this is no joke, this book does have the power to grant any wish or desire that you have. With that I leave it in your care, good luck and do whatever you feel like. The previous master of the book.
Putting the letter down, she goes back to her school bag and pulls out a pencil. she opens the book up to one of its pure white pages, and starts thinking of what to try first, if this is truly real..... | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
