What if the venom symbiote was actually good?

What if even though Peter Parker forced the symbiote of him and tried to destroy it instead of the symbiote trying to kill Spiderman it instead turned good not evil? This still would spawn venom but wouldn't allow people such as Eddie Brock to misuse the suits powers for evil!
