Kiba was surprised when Choji led him back to Ichiraku's. He brought this to his comrade's attention. "Choji, weren't we just here yesterday?"
Choji nodded. "Well, you ate so many bowls yesterday, I figured you might like to come back here again. Besides," Choji added, rubbing his stomach in anticipation, "I didn't eat as much as I wanted to yesterday." Of course, Chojij had eaten at least a couple stacks' worth, but that was inconsequential to him.
Kiba blinked, his mouth beginning to rise into a smile. "Well, the ramen yesterday was good..." he conceded, looking towards the eatery. "Let's go; I'm starving!" With this comment, Choji and Kiba quickly made their way to Ichiraku's, pushing up the flap. However, they were in for quite a surprise...
"Naruto?" Kiba asked, upon seeing the blonde ninja sitting on one of the stools, happily eating his ramen (as usual.) Upon hearing Kiba's voice, Naruto turned around. He blinked his eyes in confusion. "Kiba? Choji? What are you guys doing here?"
Laughing, Kiba replied, "What do ya think, idiot? We're hungry." Naruto bristled slightly at the joking insult.
Choji nodded. "This is only our first stop, actually." He chuckled at Naruto's confused expression. "We're gonna eat out the entire town."
A pause. Then...
"WHAAAAT?" Naruto practically yelled, disturbing the ramen shack's owner.
Kiba smirked. "Uh huh. And we're already off to a great start; yesterday, I ate more bowls than I've ever seen you have," he boasted as he gestured at his bloated belly.
Upon hearing this, Naruto's confused expression became determined. "Yeah? Well, I bet I could eat even more! Hey!" he called out. "Give me 10 bowls of miso ramen! And don't stop bringing them out until it's gone!"
Choji and Kiba started at this, even as they took their seats. Naruto sounded really determined, even more so than when he trained... and that was saying something!
Suddenly, Choji had an idea. He whispered something to Naruto, who's face lit up.
"An eating contest?" he exclaimed, beaming as his first few bowls were brought out. "You're on!" He immediately began slurping up his ramen.
Within a short amount of time, Kiba and Choji had ordered their own bowls and were ravenously devouring every bowl brought out to them.
Who wins?
