Hilda enters the kitchen ready to make some breakfast for herself. She finds an enraged Zelda ready to skin Salem. A few weeks previously he had stayed up all night watching an Addams Family marathon. All of the episodes had featured Cousin Itt (the walking tower of hair). Finally falling asleep after seeing all of that hair had started giving Salem nightmares. In his sleep he starts trying to cough up imaginary hairballs. When he wakes up from the coughing he raids the refrigerator. A couple of days ago, Zelda had bought nearly 2 1/2 pounds of sushi that cost $25./oz. She has purchased it for a special dinner party she was throwing the next night. Except that sometime during the night, Salem had found and devoured nearly all of it. It doesn't take Zelda long to find Salem asleep on the couch still reeking of tuna. Just as goes to zap him Hilda asks her, "Do you really want to do that?" Zelda replies, "Of course I do, unless you have a better suggestion." Hilda says she does and going back to the kitchen tells Zelda. With a very big grin on her face Zelda agrees that Hilda has a better idea for dealing with that fat cat. Quietly attending to the arrangements in the kitchen the 2 Aunts leave through the back door without disturbing the dear.
A little while later:
Sabrina came downstairs to grab something for breakfast and make her lunch. Smelling Salem in the living room Sabrina leaves by the front door slamming it. Being wakened by Sabrina, Salem seeing how late it is jumps to the floor going to the kitchen. He expects to find his usual food in his dinner bowl. He's not happy to find only 1 large piece of week-old bread and water waiting for him. Incensed at this snub by the Aunts he then says out loud (to no-one) "If they think I'm going to stand for only having bread and water all day they don't know this cat!" Continuing on he says, "If I hurry I can mooch something tasty from Mrs. Simpleton down the street." Speeding up to leap out the cat door in the kitchen door Salem nearly knocks himself out when it doesn't open like it usually would. Grumbling he says, "Gee, maybe those old witches do know this cat." Standing at the back door for a couple of minutes plotting his next move, Salem hears someone getting out their keys at the front door. He then hears Sabrina's voice with some others. Taking off at full speed for the front door, it opens just as he rounds the corner. Jumping on the throw rug and intending to ride it to the front door Salem sees all that hair coming in. He doesn't jump off the rug before sliding into the middle of the girls.
Getting quite nervous from being trapped in all that hair, Salem starts yowling loudly. Thinking quickly, Sabrina says, "Alright now who stepped on my cats tail?" They all deny it and ask where is Salem at? Sabrina is at a loss for that answer. She then says, "since we're stuck here all day I'll look in the refrigerator to see what we can have for lunch. Why doesn't someone turn on the tv. As the girls walk towards the living room Salem suddenly reappears, shaking like a leaf from fear. All that he can now see [except for their hair color] are 4 identical versions of Cousin Itt surrounding him. To make matters worse when the television comes on a few seconds later its on a movie channel. The announcer says, "And now back to our movie, the rock musical HAIR." Which further upsets Salem especially when the title song HAIR comes on. The poor cat starts having a full nervous breakdown. Seeing no other escape Salem runs for the couch jumps on it and successfully leaps for a ceiling lamp, crying up a storm. When Sabrina grabs the remote to turn the tv off nothing happens. Every channel is the same and it WON"T turn off. Now realizing that the Aunts are behind all of this Sabrina is stumped on what to tell the others.
Sabrina hopes that the spell wears off before the either of her Aunts return from work that afternoon. She also starts worrying about what other booby traps they've left around the house to punish Salem. She figures that he must of been a VERY bad kitty for them to go to this much effort. And with the other girls still in her house she can't ask him about that. For now, Sabrina is in as much of a pickle as Salem.
