Chapter #5

It's a slow change

It was a regular and dull Friday for many but not so much for the family we're focusing on today. Let's stick with the mom for now and if you want to concentrate on others, you can. So anyway, the younger kids were all in school, Amy was at home for the day and Derek was in the office. Susan had arrived at the studio early to have something to eat and get ready for the show. Time passes. Before Susan was due to start her midday talk show, Andrew, Susan's manager knocked on her door just like any normal day "Susan?" No answer.

Another knock but louder. "Susan! You're on in 5 minutes. Are you ready?"
"Oh crap!" Susan was in her bath for so long, much longer than she realised that she had forgotten about where she was, Once she snapped out from her trance she jumped out and grabbed a towel. "Sorry, I was in the bath for..." Thinking to herself. "About an hour!" Fortunately, her hair wasn't wet so she just needed to make it look nice, put on her dress and makeup. Once she was half dry she proceeded to put on her G cup bra.
Andrew called out "I'll bring Becky in to help. Hurry up please!"

"Yes, yes I'll be out before we start! Listen, do you have some more water?" Susan asked.

"Didn't you have a 2-litre jug earlier?" Andrew asked. He could have sworn he saw someone had served her breakfast once she arrived.

"Yeah but I've been really thirsty since I woke up so I drank it all. Oh man, but my throat feels like the Sahara here" It wasn't hot so both Susan and Andrew were puzzled over this.

Becky, the assistant knocked and opened the door to Susan who was struggling. Despite being middle age, Susan's bra was certainly tight as if her breasts had grown recently. Becky bought in another 2-litre jug of fresh water with her. She was known to be a lifesaver when it came to glamming up the hosts and guests in record time.

It wasn't perfect but a few minutes later, Susan was dry and had her make-up on, just about ready to be on stage. Wearing a sparkling red dress she went toward the door and slipped her feet into her gorgeous red stilettos before opening the door. "Ready!" Although she didn't want to tell her manager that her skin was dry and itchy once again just like before her bath. "An allergic reaction perhaps?", she thought to herself. She needed to ignore it for now.

She and her manager were taking their weekday walk and talk toward the main stage.
