Tell them it's just a phone

"Call, text, take pictures, y'know", Jessica lied. The two women shrugged it off and returned to their conversation. Bobbi and Joan would soon learn otherwise, however. Being rather curious, Jessica flipped through the phone's options. She decided she would test the device on her mother and her poor friend. Jessica walked out of the room and hid behind a corner so she could observe their panic. What did she decide to do to them?
