"—one of the school programs," you finish after a moment's stumbling hesitation. "You know, the orchestra or—"
Sydney giggles. "Why are you in such a hurry, Will?" She tweaks you in the side of the stomach. "We've got all the time in the world. We can afford to take it slow."
But you can't take it slow. You have to find yourself an alias before Monday.
"We can take it slow," you protest. "I'm just trying to pick out an area, you know. Or else we're never gonna get started."
Sydney laughs. "It is kind of like being in a cafeteria, isn't it? But if we're going to be, like, an all-orchestra coven, once we pick the orchestra or whoever, then we've basically picked all our members."
She's right, and almost you backpedal. But before you can change your mind, Sydney says, "Orchestra, marching band, or chorale?"
"What?"
"That's basically who we have to pick from. The orchestra, the marching band, or the chorale. Of course," she adds, "there's some smaller groups in there. The jazz chorale and the jazz band, for instance. The chamber orchestra. But they're all or mostly part of the bigger groups. So which one? Orchestra, chorale, or marching band?"
