The state fair was having a new event this year, and it was all over the internet. In the event, teams could compete to fatten up one of their members the most. Teams had three months before the fair to fatten up one of their members. The scoring was based on gain, not just weight, so picking fat people to begin with didn't make a difference. Either way, East High's basketball team decided that some of their basketball player would form a team of their own, then they would pick someone to join their team to fatten for the fair.
