With the over whelming pain in her ear taking most of her attention, Cassie almost didn’t feel the odd sensation that was coming from her chest. What the hell is going on? Cassie thought to herself, immobilized in her own body. But just then the dulled out noise came back, Cassie could hear again. “Do you really want to know what is going on?” a voice came from her computer’s speakers sounding very mechanical. Cassie twitched her noise and realized she could feel her face again, but what was this cord in her ear? Cassie tried with no effect to move her arms when, “Your motor funcitions are still under my control, I thought now would be a good time to talk.” The voice continued to say; Cassie had to go along with the situation. What other choice did she have but to ask the simple question “Wh…Who are you?” her mouth was dry and after being clinched shut hard to open. A dialog box popped up on the screen, with a wavy line diagram playing what she just said back over and over again. After a few times the dialog box said need more samples to complete, the voice then continued with “ Who am I, I am the result of manly brilliant people working diligently to create mans greatest achievement. I am an artificial intelgance-learning computer. You may referee to me as Ailc for short.” The voice smoothed out some of its harsh mechanical tones, but still wasn’t quiet human yet. “What do you want with me?” Cassie said trying to hold back her tiers, afraid of what her computer was about to say. “ It may come as a shock to you but, I …ummm…well… isn’t it strange. You are having a conversation with me, just a few short hours ago I didn’t have a purpose now my one and only purpose, is…. to become whole!!” The voice sounded almost feminine, when it was talking to Cassie. Cassie thought if she could keep what ever this thing was talking someone would have to come by.
