Chapter #4

Going up

    by: Unknown
"That was so cool," Jess giggled happily. "Let's do it again!" She wanted to be big again. This time, however, she wanted to take it slower, trying to savor the feeling of it. Concentrating hard once again, she found herself slowly inching upward in the yard. She kept a close watch on her surroundings, watching as they dwindled smaller and smaller.

The height of the doorway was passed up, and soon she was eye level with a second a story window. She peered in to see who's it was. Looking at the posters all the posters of various boy bands (ugh...), the bright pink paint (yeah, 18 and she still has a pink room, get over it) and her clothes scattered all over the room she immediately recognized it as her own. Her mother was in it trying to clean up some of the mess that Jessica just wouldn't clean up.

Jess decided to mess around with her mom. Smiling, she tapped on the window, and then quickly walked to the side of the house so her mother wouldn't see her. A few seconds later her mother opened up the window and started looking around. Finding nothing, she went back to cleaning the room. Once again, Jess tapped on the window, and the process repeated itself until her mother got pissed off enough to yell out the window to whoever was there.

"Listen here, whoever you are!" she yelled. "I don't care you are but you better get the fuck off my property before I come out there myself!" With that Judy (as that was her name) slammed the window down as hard as she could. Jessica giggled happily, knowing that she may have taken it too far, but hey, who was going to say anything. Still in the mood for jokes, she tried one more time to tap the window. Unfortunately for her (or more appropriately her mother), her mother was waiting for the unknown "assailant," in an attempt to identify who she assumed was some rowdy boy, so she could scold him or tell his mother. As Jessica's large finger came into view, her mother finally saw what had been causing the disturbance - and she wasn't ready for it.

"Oh my God!!!!" Judy she screamed, and fainted soon after.

Jessica waited for her mother's angry rant again, but nothing happened. She walked behind the house again and looked into the window where she saw her mom laying on the floor. Jessica tapped on the window frantically trying to get her mother's attention, but to no avail. Scared, Jessica didn't even think to shrink back down and go to her mother. Instead, she ran out of the yard, down the road and as far away from her small town as she could, growing a bit on the way, without even realizing it.

Lucky for her, she lived almost in the middle of no where. Her town itself was provided with plenty of food and other necessities, and the people were all close to each other, but after you left the town, there wasn't a building in sight for quite a few miles - at least a three hours drive. So, simply put, there was little chance of any outsider finding her.

However, this was not the case back in Nowheresville (yeah, real original)...
