Chapter #7

Later that day...

    by: Soren Author IconMail Icon
A little while later, I was meditating beside our visitor cause Din wanted someone to watch him, and I can`t say no to her. Mostly cause she doesn`t let me.

"Urgh..." I heard him say as I turned, seeing him come to.

"Glad to see you`re up," I said. "I`m Zicael, a magician in this troupe of ours."

"I`m Link," the blonde-haired guy said as he looked at me. "Where am I?"

"You`re in Holodrum," I replied. "Din found you outside our campsite near a clearing. You were out cold."

"Who`s Din?" Link asked.

"She`s a dancer and my best friend," I replied. "C`mon, I`ll show you around."

"Alright," Link said, standing up and following me as I led him around, introducing him to the others.

Link`s face went wide as I brought him to Impa, the cook.

"And this is Impa, our cook. She joined rather recently since we needed a cook," I said as Impa nodded.

Link and Impa whispered something to each other, and that made me suspicious. We continued on and finally made our way to where Din was dancing.

"Who`s that?" Link asked, obviously blushing.

"That would be Din," I replied. "Hey Din, the guy you found is awake!" I yelled to her, gaining her attention and causing her to jump off the stump she was dancing on.

"You`re up!" Din said to Link smiling. "Welcome to Holodrum! I`m Din, the dancer! Would you like to dance with me?"

"Uh..." Link said hesitantly as Din grabbed his hand. I only laughed and smiled.

"Don`t worry, she does that to everyone she meets!" I yelled back, smiling as Link tried to dance with Din, doing a pretty bad job at it.

I laughed as the music played until I saw a sudden storm cloud roll in. "THUNDERSTORM!" I yelled just before a wind kicked up.

"I`ve found you Din!" a voice boomed over the crashing thunder. "You can`t deceive me by disguising yourself as a dancer."

"What do you mean?" I yelled to the voice from nowhere. "Who are you?!"

A large image of a man in gold armor with a strange black symbol on his chest appeared in the sky, but only as an image.

Din looked shocked and Impa looked rather angered as she got in front of Din. The rest of the troupe members surrounded Din and drew swords, which surprised me.

"Where did those weapons come from?!" I asked, looking at the rest of the troupe.

"I am Onox, General of Darkness!" the image roared. "Now reveal yourself, Oracle of Seasons!"

A large whirlwind began descending from the sky, and my nightmare made sense, the dragon, the tornado, and the green triangle.

"NO DIN!" I yelled, jumping for her as the whirlwind descended upon her, blowing Impa and the other troupe members away.

"Link! Zicael! Help me!" Din yelled as she was sucked into the whirlwind.

Link jumped for Din and I struggled to run towards her, but we were both blown away and knocked out.

---

All across Holodrum, there was a strange occurrence. With Din imprisoned by Onox, the seasons in Holodrum fell in chaos. It began cycling from one season to the next at a random and rapid pace. Crops died, water froze, and the land slowly began to die. If this continued, life in Holodrum would cease to exist.
