A Jewel Thief's Shadow - The Knuckles Decision

Turning around, Shadow could see the large Master Emerald in all its glory. She then assumed that whatever that weapon was charged with had to be using some type of chaos energy. It would only make sense. However, she was interrupted from thinking on this any further, as The Master Emerald's guardian wasn't very pleased at seeing a familiar treasure thief near his prized possession(Possession. See what I did there? Because the story is called... Yeah, whatever.)

"Hey! Bat lady! Paws off!"
Knuckles hopped down before her, folding his arms as he looked her over. Shadow could easily tell that he was examining her large window for cleavage.

"Easy, red... I'm not here for your Master Emerald."
Shadow decided to play it calm, not having any experience in combat with this body yet won't suit her well if she gets into a fight. Hopefully, Rouge's natural charm would work on the hot-rod-red-hot-head.

"Oh, then what are you doing here?"
Knuckles asked, not buying that excuse.
