The day passed slowly as you spend your time in the library, checking in books, wait for students to borrow books. It's a rather boring day for you. It was different for you when you were Victoria, you thought about your own time of high school, a fun time where you laughed and had fun. But now most of it is gone. You don't even see your friends anymore, they have all moved on, each going their own way. You breath relieved when you see it's five o'clock. You gather your stuff, lock the library and put on the security system and go to your car. You're surprised when you see Victoria waiting on the parking lot, just as she said.
Victoria looks shy away when she sees you coming over to her. "Your parents not wondering where you are?" You asked her as you opened the door of your car.
"I text them I was with Betty. They trust me." Victoria replied. You stepped inside the car, waiting for Victoria to sit down as well. "What are you standing there for? Come on in." You told her. Victoria stepped inside the car, a little unsure. Unlike the principal and some of the teachers your car was rather small, with you barely fitting inside.
"I'm sorry if it is too small, I normally don't have any passengers with me." You told her as you drive off the parking lot.
"That's okay, I understand." Victoria says with an apologetic smile. "I just want to say how sorry I am for my behavior from before." Victoria says looking with her pleading eyes.
"What behavior? You mean when you grabbed me by my arms? That wasn't too hard, I was only somewhat surprised."
"I just..I was afraid we were stuck like that, you know. I panicked and therefore I treated you badly."
"Look Victoria, if I was your age I would probably have reacted the same way. I just tried to stay calm and collect, but I was just as shocked as well. One minute I was standing in line and the next moment I saw Betty's face calling me Victoria."
"That must have been pretty weird as well. I just felt my hands holding a tray and when I turned around I saw you running away. I immediately followed you, though running while wearing those heels isn't easy." Victoria explains. "So where is your place?" Victoria asks looking around.
"We're here, already. Look there." You tell Victoria pointing above. You can see your apartment waiting for you already, Victoria seems to be surprised of it. "I don't have much money, a librarian doesn't get paid much as a teacher."
"It's not that." Victoria says apologizing.
"It's okay, took me a long time to accept it as well." You tell her. You park your car into the parking garage and walk with Victoria to your apartment. "Welcome to my house, you can take your shoes off here." You tell Victoria as you're both standing in the hall. You quickly slide out of your high heels, rubbing your heels for wearing those shoes. Victoria takes off her sneakers, a much better choice to wear, but the principle insists that you dress yourself appropriate.
"I have to tell you though that I haven't cleaned my room in a while, so don't be surprised by what you find inside." You warn Victoria before opening the door. Walking inside you feel ashamed how your room looks like, even when you're this old you still don't clean your room often. Victoria however walking behind you doesn't seem to mind. "This is not so bad Ms. Turner, my room might look even worse." Victoria says as she looks around. "Thanks, and you can call me Hillary, Ms. Turner is for when we are at school."
"Okay, Hillary." Victoria replies surprised by this informality.
"So do you want a cup of coffee or prefer tea?" You ask Victoria.
"Tea, if you have it of course." Victoria says sitting down at the table, removing a pair of panties from the chair she sits on. You look around in the cupboards and find a bag of tea, you put on a kettle with water while you make a cup of coffee for yourself. You also grab a box of your favorite chocolate cookies, you're not supposed to eat them during the week, but with a guest around things are different.
"I really shouldn't take one, but in this case." Victoria says as she grabs a cookie.
"Yeah, I love them too, but I have to take care not to eat too many of them, it all goes down to my hips." You tell Victoria as you put the box back.
"Same with me as well, if I eat too much I won't fit in my swimsuit." Victoria giggles. You giggle too as Victoria's tea is ready and you put it down in front of her.
"Thanks." She says taking a sip. You and her then discuss how it's possible to swap. In the end the two of you...
