This choice: Red, the hero with the signature hat. • Go Back... Slowly but surely, Red pulled himself out of bed, briefly grabbing his alarm clock to check the time. 'Okay...there's still time, good,' he thought, before placing back on the nightstand. Normally, he'd be quite reluctant to get out of bed at all, but today was an important occasion; the day he was supposed to visit Professor Oak and receive his very first Pokemon! ...Well, actually, not quite his first; he'd had his faithful Poliwhirl for a little while now, but that was as a pet, not a fighter. Okay, his first officially-sanctioned Pokemon, anyway.
But, before all that, he had a more important task to attend to: breakfast!
Strolling into the bathroom, Red hurriedly washed up and...attempted to do something with his hair (which, alas, remained as spiky and un-agreeable as always), before deciding, 'Screw this,' and simply throwing on his usual red-and-white Pokemon League cap. Putting on the rest of his clothes, he ran out of the bathroom and toward the stairs.
Quickly making his way downstairs, Red sat himself down at the dining table, and his mother emerged from the kitchen to greet him. "Good morning!" she said, as expected. "Today's the big day, isn't it?" Her son nodded in agreement, replying, "Yep! Now, uh, what about breakfast...?"
"Alright, I'm getting to it," said Mrs...uh, Red's Mom, with a playful laugh. "My, you're awfully hungry this morning...though, I can see why, considering it's the last time you'll be able to enjoy my fine cooking!"
