If you're going to drive Bessie, you're going to have to use the controller. So why not make her better first?
You spend the next few hours soldering and equipping Bessie for tiny passengers. First there's comfort, so you pad the hard plastic seats with rubber bands, washcloths, and cotton balls. Then there's the open top, so you add a few wires and bars to make it closer to a full racing roll cage.
Finally there's the horn. You disengage it, then make a holster of sorts on the hood. You build a simple motor in the middle of the holster, and affix the horn wire to that. Now when you activate the horn, it pushes a little lever. Putting the Shrink ray in place, you activate the horn again, and now it shoots out a blast, reducing your chair to 3 inches tall.
Taking a step back, you admire your handiwork. Bessie is ready to roll now!
