Kimberly did her best acting and pretended she was about to be sick as she staggered into the reception of the high school. The staff were convinced by her groaning and moaning, and gave her the rest of the day off. Kimberly quickly dropped the act when she got outside, and got home as fast as possible.
Entering her empty house, she hurried up to her room and went to get a closer look at her stomach in her full body length mirror - which she would often spend hours admiring herself in. But now she wasn't admiring, now she was horrified. She could have sworn that her stomach had bloated a little bigger!
Kimberly turned to the side and rubbed her stomach, noting how soft it felt. She pressed her hand into it, hoping to see how much flab had gathered on her once perfectly toned abs, and felt her hand sink a little into her stomach flesh. It definately seemed to be getting flabbier, and she had absolutely no idea why.
"I've got to exercise," Kimberly told herself.
She immediately lay down on the floor and started doing sit-ups and crunches, her stomach felt strange after so many years of having a toned belly, but she persisted, panting and breathing out like her life depended on it as she performed her exercises for the next few hours.

After several hours of exercise, Kimberly was totally worn out. She collapsed back onto her comfy bed and looked down at her stomach, then gave it a poke, it seemed harder and firmer now, and she guessed that her rigorous exercise had made it toughen back up. Exhausted, Kimberly declined to eat dinner in the evening, and climbed into bed - hoping that her stomach would have gone down by the morning.
