The ground trembled every two or three seconds.

Footsteps!

A shadow fell over Ron and a childish giggle drowned out all other noise. He glanced up from behind the bush and his heart skipped a beat. He gaped.

A toddler stood over him. An eight-foot toddler, sporting a gap-toothed grin. It squatted down, reaching out with a slobbery finger and touched Ron, as if to see if he was real.

Fright paralyzed Ron. He could not escape.

"Please don't put me in your mouth," Ron said in a hoarse voice. To Ron's immense relief, the toddler stood and turned away. "Oh, good."

"Da-da!"

"Oh, s**t!," Ron spat out.

"DA-DA!" The toddler raised his voice to a deafening level.

"Quiet, you little a**hole! I mean, giant....little a**hole!"

"Yes, Org?" Another voice rumbled like thunder and shook leaves and bushes.

Ron's blood ran cold as a bearded young man rose above the trees. He wore only a loin cloth and sported a muscular physique larger than Ron had ever seen.

What is he...25 feet? 30 feet? Who cares? He's gigantic!

The man stepped toward them. The ground shook violently, as if an earthquake had struck. Ron feared the trees would fall over.

In two steps, the man reached them. Ron couldn't tear his eyes off the giant's body.

"What have you got here, Org?" The big man smiled and crouched down. "An Earthling! That must have been your spaceship that crashed into my lake."

"No s**t, Sherlock. Do all giants have this knack to pick up on the obvious or are you just the smart one." Maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud.

"I'm Ank. This is my son Org. Welcome to Zork."
