This choice: You're paddling in a canoe when a storm approaches • Go Back... Awwww yeeeaaaah...
Wind whipped through his hair as Ramone caught the wave in on his surfboard. He could feel the water rushing beneath him, the wind in his hair, the salt on his face. Ramone was tall for his age. He was only seventeen, but he was already about six and a half feet tall. His body was chiseled perfection, thick and beefy with a natural tan. His hair was shaggy brown and his eyes were brown too. His girlfriend adored him and...reckoned he had a cute butt.
As the wave bottomed out, Ramone paddled and then walked, back to shore. He put his surfboard away on the porch of his parents house, and then dragged out his canoe. Ramone loved canoeing. Sometimes he went with friends, other times, alone. Today was an alone day. He just wanted to enjoy the surf and the sun and to relax. He pushed the canoe into the surf and jumped in. Wearing just sandals and boxer-shorts, he could feel the warmth of the sun on his body. Yeah this was good. He picked up one of the oars and started paddling out to sea. Ramone was a machine. His arms powered tirelessly through the waves, digging the paddle deep into the water, left, right, left, right, going faster and faster. Ramone, Ramone, the Metronome.
"Woah..." Ramone said, as the waves started getting larger and larger. Then, he saw the clouds darken.
"Oh crap..." he said. Paddling, he tried to turn the boat around, but already the waves and the wind was getting too strong. Ramone pulled out oarlocks and clipped them to the side of his canoe and then put in the other oar and tried to row back to land, but the waves were now far too powerful! Now it started to rain. Just a drizzle at first, but then a full, monsoonal downpour! In thirty seconds, Ramone was soaking wet! His canoe wasn't easily sunk or capsized however, so he kept on rowing. The skies grew darker until there wasn't any sunlight at all. It was getting really cold now, and Ramone was shivering. This was crazy!
WHUNK!
A huge wave hit the side of the canoe and Ramone was thrown off-balance, he hit the side of his boat and groaned. That freakin' hurt!
Whunk! Whunk! More waves started pounding his canoe. Then, an especially large one gave the boat a full broadside, slamming into the canoe with the force of a speeding car! Ramone was thrown back! His head slammed into the side of the canoe and everything went black...

"Uuuuugggh....Eeeugh!"
Ramone groaned. Where was he!?
Whereever he was, he was lying on sand. Bright sunlight was shining down on him and he noticed his clothes were dry. His brown hair was messy and full of sand. He groaned and tried to scratch as much sand out of his hair as he could.
"Hey you're awake!"
"Yeah..." Ramone said. He looked hazily around, and then got up.
"HOLY JESUS!!" he screamed. He'd turned around to see a collossal figure TOWERING over him, big enough to block out the sun!...or so it seemed.
"Who are you!?" Ramone screamed. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
