For a moment, Raven held her breath, afraid of what could happen. What had she done? And if it was something terrible, how could she correct it? Nothing seemed to happen for the longest time. Letting out a sigh of relief, Raven reached to pick the book back up.
As she did so, Raven saw something that turned her blood cold. Her fingernails had turned black...and had grown out into something akin to talons. Checking her other hand, Raven saw that the same thing had happened to it. Heartpounding, Raven stared at her hands, expecting something more.
Unfortunately, she got it. She began to develop itches. There was a spot around her shoulders that really bugged her. Another spot was located on her tailbone. The worst, however, was along her legs. Her feet felt strange as well. Unable to resist it, Raven tried to scratch herself. Her shoulder itch proved impossible to reach. She had to resort to wriggling around on the floor. A new itch formed on her head. Two of them.
"What's happening to me?" Raven thought, confused. Her answer came in the next instant as her legs sprouted scales, but only up to her knees. Her feet burst free from her shoes, turning into large hooves. Her leotard stretched before shredding as a pair of wings sprouted from her back. Like her namesake, they were black, feathered wings. Groaning, Raven writhed on the floor. The bursts felt...divine! One would think it would be agonizing, but Raven loved every second of it.
Something slipped out of the bottom of her leotard. Raven realized she now had a tail, thin and prehensial. Finally two horns sprouted on her head. As the pleasure faded, realization sunk in. She had turned into a demon. Struggling to stand, Raven eventually gave up, opting to fly over to the mirror instead. Her eyes had turned from purple to red.
