The director yelled, “Cut!...Get the real actors back in place!”
Steve Silver stood up. He had been working as a stunt double on the set and got up from the ground. After standing in for an actor who had just fell from a 2 story building, Steve dusted off his coat. His agent, Fred Watson (also his brother in law) helped him up, “Nice Job! Let’s get out of here!”
Back at Fred’s office, Steve stood in front of the mirror. It was still strange for Steve to see another man’s reflection in the mirror. After using the medallion periodically for the past 2 months to become many different bodies, Steve had managed to make over 10,000 dollars as a stunt double. His brother in law, Fred, was the one who came up with the idea. Hollywood was always searching for “look alike” body doubles for stunts. By using the medallion, they could easily create a stunt double that looked enough like the real actors in the movies.
Fred came back in the office and handed Steve a check. As usual, Fred took his 15% cut for setting up the gig. Fred smiled, “This arrangement has been giving my agency some great exposure, the requests are pouring in for stunt doubles and extras for even more movies! We even a few speaking roles next month!”
Steve put the check in his pocket as he joked, “Does this mean I won’t have to fall off buildings anymore?”
The two continued to talk for another 15 minutes until Fred said, “Come on, I’ll drop you off at home!”
Steve looked at his watch. It was only 3pm. He had used the medallion that morning before the shoot at about 8. He usually tried to swap back to his normal 28 year old body before going home to Janet. Walking in the door looking like a strange man had startled Janet a few times over the past couple of months. But knowing he had no choice, he followed Fred to his car.
