To make a long story short, you were bored out of your mind. Your parents were out and you had already played most of your videogames to the point of fatigue. To top it off, it wasn't even noon yet.
Furthermore, the house was sweltering. You were down to shorts and T-shirt, you had a fan blowing in your face, and you were still sweating all over your clothes. The air conditioner was broken, and no one was going to fix it for a while.
Why couldn't your parents care more about these things?
You flipped the TV off, it wasn't entertaining you at this point, and you got up from the couch. You had nothing to lose, you might as well go outside. Get some fresh air. It's not like out there could be more uncomfortable than in here.
You went upstairs, and changed into some clothes that weren't drenched in sweat. You then went back downstairs, and threw the door open.
