Toph could feel Aang and Sokka working on their chores off in the distance, while Appa and Momo slept soundly in a cave close to their camp. They were all too far away to see or hear Toph, so she was free to walk at a leisurely pace.
The group had set up camp in the middle of a mountain range and Toph could sense dozens of nearby nooks and crannies, perfect for her to hide in while she played with Katara. One cave in particular, halfway down the mountainside, seemed to her a perfect hiding spot.
Katara, meanwhile, tried to hold on tightly to Toph's skin. Although Toph tried to make the journey smooth for Katara, the rocky terrain prevented her success in this. Katara's tiny body was thrown around the giant open palm by even the lightest motion and she came close to falling off a few times until Toph finally curled her tremendous fingers around her fragile form, enveloping her in warmth and darkness.
Finally arriveing at the cave, Toph sat down on a rock and set Katara down in front of her feet. "Now that we're all alone we can start having some real fun," Toph said to her tiny friend. She raised her big toe slightly and slid her foot forward, knocking Katara off her feet and pinning her to the ground. "Be a good little girl and give me a foot massage, will you?"
Katara struggled to get out, squirming beneath the mountainous foot. "Come on, quit messing around", Toph admonished the older girl. "The sooner you finish doing what I say, the sooner we can figure out how to get you back to normal size."
Sighing deeply, Katara gave in and started massaging Toph's toe as best she could. The skin was surprisingly tough, hardened by the countless months she'd spent walking barefoot. It was very dirty too; With every pass, her hands knocked loose a few grains of sand that were more like pebbles to Katara.
This went on for about 5 minutes until Toph raised her foot. "That's enough for now," she said as she wiggled her toes teasingly above Katara. "Since you did such a ___job, you deserve..."
