You had never seen a hairpin before, and were unsure how they worked, but the old woman had given you the pin for a reason, or else that whole talk with her would have been random and crazy.
Feeling stupid, you slip the hairpin into your hair, and steady it.
Suddenly, you see steam escaping from your pores, like your body is evaporating. Your eyes sting, and your torso is filled with a tight pain. Letting out moans that suggest an emptiness more than pain, you fall to the ground and wince for a minute. You feel a shrinking sensation in your groin. "No, my only chance for knighthood." you think. But before you can even get a hold of anything that is down there, you feel a weight on your chest, as the top portion of it begins to expand. You toss and turn some more, but find that even rolling on the ground feels different, as there now seems to be more cushioning in your behind.
You bite your lip, only to feel that it has become fuller. When you get up, you feel a weight on your head, as you see long golden locks of hair fall down. As you look down at the golden locks, you feel a cold draft. You notice that even your clothes have transformed, your pants have become a plain brown skirt, and your top has become a thin blouse, that shows off your newly acquired cleavage.
You quickly run up to a puddle and look at your reflection. A female that looks like she could be your twin sister is staring at you. in the rippling water.
"Oh!" you gasp in shock, as you see the reflection put her hand up to her mouth in shock. You immediately feel that same hand touch the end of your lips.
As you stand back up, you feel that you are now at least a foot shorter than you were when you started this journey. Lifting up the ends of the dress, you notice that you're probably even smaller than that, since your boots have miniature heels at the back of them.
"So that's what the hairpin if for." you think. Although, you have no clue what possible use it could have for you.
