"Galatea," she called, opening her palm to show Tom. "Is this the little human that deserted you earlier today?"
"Oh my gosh, you found him!" she shrieked grabbing Tom. In her excitement, her grip caused Tom to cough uncontrollably. She was paying no attention, though as her mother spoke:
"He was going to be food for some wolves when I found him. Be careful, though, his arm's a little bruised up."
"Okay, I will. Thanks mom!"
With that, her mom left, and Galatea brought her attention solely on Tom, who by now couldn't breathe from her grip. She grabbed him with her other hand and dangled him in front of her face. He stared in fear at the smiling mouth that had previously tried to eat him.
"It's nice to see you come crawling back," she coos playfully.
"It's nice seeing you again. Can you please take me home?"
She chuckles a little. "You're hurt," she says as she jabs his injured shoulder lightly with her finger, causing him to wince in pain. "I'm not letting you go anywhere."
"Please. I just want to go home with my family. They can help me."
