The world suddenly dropped out from under him, and then he was falling back down, and with a WHAM, her foot landed on the floor. A few moments passed, and the the world dropped, and he fell, and WHAM. Drop, fall, WHAM. Drop, fall, WHAM.
Lift, drop, fall, WHAM.
Naruto groaned as the cycle repeated seemingly endlessly. He regretted his decision NOT to use the sweat as a lubricant to escape from under Kurenai's foot, but the thought of what would have happened if things didn't go his way and Kurenai being angry and maybe hunting him down.
Meanwhile, above him, Kurenai was thinking about what she was going to do with Naruto. Then she stopped, smiled, and plucked Naruto out from under her foot and she placed Naruto in one hand before unsealing a jar that she normally used to mix healing salve in. Placing Naruto in the glass bottle, screwed the lid on and poked some holes in the top with a senbon, Kurenai grinned at Naruto darkly before she started to shake the jar violently, and Naruto smacked his head against the side of the glass.
He was just so... CUTE! She just wanted to put him on display!
"You aren't getting out of there at all...I'm going to keep you forever, and ever and ever!" the red eyes woman wearing a bandage dress cackled.
With that, Kurenai turned away from the direction of the Hokage tower and made her way home, much to the diminished boy's horror.
While Kurenai's apartment wasn't necessarily big, it had a homey feel to it. White carpet, white walls, a cream colored couch against the wall with a table in front, TV in the corner and a baby's crib near the child proof window. The kitchen was connected to the living room, making it one big room and seemingly bigger than what it really was. The tiles in the kitchen were an olive green.
Setting the jar and its occupant down on the counter, the woman smiled at the sight of the little one inside it. Naruto pounded fruitlessly on the glass, but it wasn't any good and he was reduced to watching helplessly as Kurenai prepared herself a quick microwave dinner and sat down in front of him. After taking a few bites, she casually swallowed then spoke to the whiskered boy.
"Now...unless you want to be squished or eaten or something like that, Naruto, there won't be any talk about what I 'can' and 'can't' do out of you, will there?"
Terrified, Naruto shook his head. "No ma’am," he said, trying to be as respectful as possible.
Kurenai nodded, satisfied. "Good. Now let's cut to the chase: now that you're here, Naruto, you need to make a choice."
"A choice?" Naruto repeated, perplexed.
The Jonin-ranked kunoichi nodded. "Yes. As to who you'll have as your new owner. As you know Naruto, I had a baby..a daughter, as it turns out. I’d need a babysitter for when I'm not around...And she'd ADORE you. Or I can keep you for ME!" Kurenai said, grinning with a coy deviousness.
Looking past the adult woman, Naruto fearfully looked at the sleeping figure in the baby crib. The child had black hair and was wearing a simple yellow kimono with blue trimmings, held closed by a simple white sash.
He shuttered, being given to Kurenai's child would almost certainly end in his death, either drowned, obliterated, or just plain eaten.
Still...being kept by Kurenai wouldn't be fun or easy either.
"Well...which of us would you want as your owner? Tick tock, little one." Kurenai sing-songed.
Shuttering, Naruto blurted his answer without thinking.
