The snake Sannin was bored. That seemed to be a common occurrence when he wasn't experimenting or out collecting rare techniques. Currently he was seated in his lair awaiting the return of his loyal followers, hopefully the mission he sent them on would be a success.
As he waited on his throne for good new, the sound of footsteps filled his ears. It was then followed by a loud knock at his door. Finally something was happening that would relieve his boredom. "Enter."
The doors opened to reveal one of the subordinates he'd sent out earlier. A smile made it's way to his face before quickly falling. Where was the other servant he sent out? "Lord Orochimaru." the servant bowed.
"Where is Kabuto." The snake asked,
"One of his experiments required attention and he went go see to it." The servant answered.
That made sense. It wasn't the first time one of Kabuto's little personal project stopped him from immediately reporting in. At least his most loyal followers wasn't captured or dead. That would be a huge loss. There was nothing more upsetting than the loss of such great talent.
Orochimaru grinned "I understand. Tell me, were you able to retrieve what I ordered?"
The servant smirked before producing a black scroll from behind their back. The snake couldn't be more pleased. A successful mission could always brighten his day. He was in front of his servant in less than a second and took the black scroll.
"Yes... With this my power will grow exponentially! Good work." Orochimaru praised.
"I live to serve."
Orochimaru was so caught up in his good fortune that he'd failed to notice his follower's hand signs. Before he knew it, the black scroll began to glow, and his entire world went white.
The snake grunted as his vison was obscured but didn't have to wait long for the light to fade. When it did his vision was blurred. He walked around aimlessly calling for his servant until he bumped into something the knocked him flat on his back. He growled as he stood up and his vision finally cleared. Anger went through him as he realized he'd been felled by a wall.
Wait a second.
He placed his hand against the wall and felt it's smooth rubbery surface. That wasn't right. The walls here were made of stone. Something was amiss here. He then cranked his head up and as he did he felt himself go paler if that was even possible.
This wasn't a wall... It was a giant black sandal!
