As the scribe took out a map the guard had to stop the prince from cleaning the carriage. "Now if we find a tavern we can hold up there until the spell wears off, and just arrive at the castle a couple of days late." The scribe suggests hopefully.
The captain coughs, "But if we arrive even a couple of days later, that will be seen as a grave insult, and will prejudice any treaty we might still be able to sign." His voice rises as he finishes speaking, and he casually passes the maid onto one of his guards to watch.
The two men are nose to nose and the captain looks ready for violence. While the guard is uncertain about manhandling the prince in disguise he keeps a careful eye on her, or at least her ass as she scuttles about.
"It'll take a woman to fix the problems a man caused." she mutters to herself. The captain dismisses the wittering of the maid, while the scribe is a little worried about how quickly the spell is progressing. Maids weren't known for their brains, or dominant personalities.
Before either men can stop her she takes out another scroll. "Well if one made me a woman, then another will make me a man." She cracked the seal and opened the parchment.
At the familiar sound of a seal being cracked the scribe suddenly realised what the prince/maid was about to do and dove to intercept.
